It is in my humble opinion, that the attacks on Israel on the 7th of October, were known of in advance by the Israeli authorities, and were allowed to take place. In the words of an IDF specialist that had served on the border between the Gaza strip and Israel, it would have been impossible for such an attack to have unfolded as it did without the Israeli powers having prior knowledge of it.
That boarder is one of the most highly surveilled pieces of real estate on the planet, and the technology in use along it highly sensitive. To my mind, even if Israel had been taken completely by surprise, and 400 heavily armed fighters armed with American M4’s, grenades and RPG’s managed to bulldoze through the fence, fly over it, drive through it in 4x4’s bristling with weapons, or move on foot into Israel to commit atrocities, why did an Israeli military response take so long? Why was the Supernova Festival moved so close to the boarder only two days before the attack? There are so many other questions that also remain unanswered.
The mass-media have been instrumental in generating so much hate and anger across the world since that attack, forcing people to “choose a side”. Horrifying images of dead babies being dragged out of crushed buildings in Gaza have been printed in some media outlets, and the broken and bloodied bodies of young Hamas victims printed in others. Never in modern history has division been so thinly disguised as journalism. Unfortunately, so many people are falling into the trap.
The system needs our hate and fear. It needs us to be tearing at one another, to be content with our self-righteous dogma - to have “picked a side” and to have ordered our cheap flags from Amazon to drape around our shoulders as we tie-up our marching boots. We then search for like-minded others to reinforce and magnetize our choice, and cling to them for comfort as our hate ferments.
And so, as mass-marches erupt around the world, and the police in London brace themselves for huge numbers of pro-Palestinian demonstrations, talk of using British Army personnel to bolster the Metropolitan Police numbers begins. But this has always been the plan.
Soldiers are not trained to be used in civilian situations that involve thousands of angry civilians. They are trained to fight and kill as a unit, this is their role. They are not trained to deescalate and remain calm under the great stresses of megaphones, screaming voices and placards. Throughout history, whenever soldiers are used this way for which they are not intended, the result has always been the same, a person is usually killed or badly injured, and the result shortly after, catastrophic.
The System wants this. It wants pro-Israeli protestors protected by the State with police and soldiers on one side, and large numbers of pro-Palestinian protestors on the other, many of whom will be Muslim. This will create a polarisation of the UK like we have never seen before, and I fear protracted mass civil unrest in many large towns and cities will follow.
The government will then have the very excuse it needs to initiate emergency powers that will greatly inhibit all our freedoms; and the people will be thankful for it. The irony of course will be, that we will all, Jew, Muslim, Christian, atheist, and everyone else, be living in the same prison, but too busy hating one another to see the walls being built around us by our true enemy.
We live under the same sun, we breath the same air and bleed the same red blood. We feel the same pain, the same joy, the same love for our families and friends. Every stranger is a friend we haven’t met yet; and all of the horror and killing ends the moment we all say no.
I outright refuse to allow the fear and hate I have been told I must feel to flow through my veins. I will be immune to it. I will only embrace unity, and I will be there to give what I can in the name of humanity in the storm that lay ahead of us.
Hold fast, we will win this.
Matt
